When in Nice I had to go to the Sephora. If there’s one store that I really miss in The Netherlands it’s the Sephora. But, on the other hand it makes beauty shopping in a foreign country even more exciting. This time, I bought the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r foundation. Let’s take a look at it in this article.
A few years ago I bought a Fenty Beauty highlighter and lipstick. Once I got home I regretted not buying the foundation. So, I decided whenever I’m in another country and there was a Sephora I should go buy the Fenty Beauty Pro filt’r soft matte longwear foundation.
Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r foundation
Let’s first take a look at what Fenty Beauty has to say about this foundation:
A soft matte, longwear foundation with buildable, medium to full coverage, now in a boundary-breaking range of 50 shades.
Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation gives skin an instantly smooth, pore-diffused, shine-free finish that easily builds to medium to full coverage. This oil-free soft matte foundation is made with climate-adaptive technology that’s resistant to sweat and humidity, and won’t clog pores so that wherever you are, it’s going to work on your skin. Best of all, this light-as-air, longwear Pro Filt’r foundation is undetectable on skin — so you always look like you.
We all know Rihanna changed the foundation game with launching her first foundation range in 40 shades. With this big range I’m sure (almost) everyone will find their perfect fit!
The foundation comes in a matte oblong bottle made of glass. The look is minimalistic and chic and contains 32 ml. When you remove the cap you’ll see a pump which makes it very hygienic to get the foundation out of the bottle. I’m still amazed by the fact that there’s still foundations out there that don’t have a pump, but okay. Luckily, this one has one, yaaay.
See below a photo of me wearing the foundation.
I’ve used this foundation a few times now and it didn’t let me down. We all know I’m a real full coverage foundation queen (read my Giorgio Armani Power Fabric review) and this foundation isn’t full coverage. Although I prefer full coverage this foundation covers my imperfections enough without giving it a cakey effect. I mostly use one and a half pump. You can build it up to make it more coverage, but I don’t think it’s going to totally blank out your face. I apply the foundation with a Zoeva 104/buffer brush. You have to work quickly because the foundation dries pretty fast and it oxidizes.
My skin tends to be very oily at the end of the day and most foundations don’t stay matte all day. This one however, stays matte the entire day which really surprised me as I am always a bit skeptical about foundations which claim to be matte. If you have a dry skin I can imagine that the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r foundation can make your skin look and feel a bit dried out. Therefore, I don’t recommend you to use this foundation.
I bet you can already feel the YAAAAY coming up. So, yes I definitely give this foundation a YAAAY because it’s long lasting and stays matte all day. When I take pictures of myself wearing this foundation I barely have to retouch my skin because it really smooths my pores.
What do you think of the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r foundation? Is it something you would try?
‘till next time!
