New Year's resolutions

My New Year’s resolutions for 2019 and it’s my birthday!

Today is my birthday and it is the last day of the year. To me, it’s the most beautiful day to be born on. I can always start my year fresh with a new age. Though, the older I get the less fun your birthday will be. As it is the last day of the year I thought it would be good to share my resolutions for 2019.

Tomorrow is first blank page of a 365 page book.
Write a good one.

To be honest, I never made New Year’s resolutions because I know I’m not going to implement them probably. This time I thought to do it for 2019. Just to see at the end of the year which one I actually implemented. So, here are my resolutions for the upcoming New Year!

1. Take my blog and Instagram to a higher level.

This year I started my blog. I started this blog to give people a look into my life, share my interests and inspire people. My life isn’t as normal as most people because I’m in a wheelchair. Though, I have been through so many things and achieved many goals. Most disabled people don’t dare to go outside and live life. There are also ‘’normal’’ people who are sitting at home depressed or thinking that they can’t live their lives as the wanted to. I want to show that you can be and do whatever you want as long as you believe in yourself.

I haven’t really written much as I mostly didn’t had very much inspiration to write about or I just didn’t had the time or motivation to go writing. In 2019 I want to take blogging more seriously and create more content. I want to be an influencer and inspire people all over the world.

2. Start a new hobby.

I’ve made the first step to go baking. Baking is one of my favorite things to do but I’m not very much skilled. I really want to be able to create those beautiful cakes I see on Pinterest and I am really going to take a course or just watch tutorials on YouTube.

Another thing I like to do is to play keyboard. I always wanted to be able to play keyboard. Unfortunately, I never took any class. It still is one of the skill I’d like to have.

The secret of getting ahead
is getting started.

3. Spend more time with my friends and family.

I don’t have many friends but the friend I do have I don’t spend very much time with. Friends are important to me because they choose to have you in their lives. This year I just want to spend more time with them.

4. Go on a trip.

Last year I went to Paris during Christmas on my own. It was one of the most beautiful experiences I had and I wanted to go this year again but due to some personal circumstances I wasn’t able to go. In 2019 I really want to go either again to Paris or somewhere else. I’m determined to save money throughout the year so I’m sure I will be going on a trip.

5. Find myself a new more suiting job.

Halfway this year I quit my old job to work somewhere else. I still regret this decision because I really loved my old job. The new job wasn’t something that was made for me. I reluctantly went to work. Last month my employer decided to not extend my contract. Although, it is never fun to lose your job I had peace with it. It just wasn’t something for me. I couldn’t know in advance that the new job would be like this in advance. Though, I new in my heart that I shouldn’t be taking the job but I did. At that time I though it was time for me to do something different as I was working there for 5 years already.

Taking the wasn’t for nothing. It taught me new things about life and the working life. I’ll tell you more about this in another blog post.

In 2019 I want to find the right job for me or make money out of blogging so I can make it a fulltime job.

6. Cook more (vegetarian)

I can be very lazy and sometimes when I get home I don’t feel like cooking. So, I end up ordering some food or go get something. When I cook I mostly make so much that I can eat it for days. I want to expand my cook book and learn new recipes (if you know a good recipe I should try let me know in the comments). Next to that, I’d like to cook some more vegetarian. I’m never going to be a full vegetarian because I just need the nutrients meat contains.

I think I should be more aware of the environment and live some more environmentally conscious. Eating some more vegetarian doesn’t hurt anyone so I’m sure to eat less flesh.

And that’s it. These are my New Year’s resolutions for 2019. I’m curious about which one I’ve actually implemented by the end of 2019.

Please let me know in the comments what you New Year’s resolutions for 2019 are.

‘till next time!
